Her story...

Tabitha is an orphan. Her mother died when she was just two days old. Her father was very abusive during her childhood. She was taken to her grandmother in the village who later began mistreating her and she was denied education. One time she fell sick with tooth pain and her grandmother removed her tooth using a knife. As a result she lost a lot of blood and was close to death before some people took her to the hospital. She was mistreated by most of her relatives who wanted her to stay at home, marry, and take care of her grandmother. She stayed with an Aunt for a while, who treated her terribly. Tabitha also has her half-siblings Eunice, Rogers and Toffee at the house.

Interests and Hobbies...

She is performing excellently at school and is gifted in art and music.

Future plans...

Tabitha wants to become a nurse.

Notes:

Tabitha has been mistreated most of her life. She has suffered through much. There was a time her father told her, he was going to severely beat her and kill her. People had to come in and stop him.

Child Financial Needs:

The Ugandan government does not offer free education at any level. Before coming to the home, many of the children had been forced to drop out of school because they were unable to pay the fees. El-Shadai Family Foster Home believes that all children should have an education and a safe, loving environment where all of their basic needs are met.
